Our FSCD-approved Specialized Services (SS) program offers intensive, coordinated support for children with complex needs who require the involvement of multiple professionals. We use a multidisciplinary team approach that brings together specialists to create a comprehensive, individualized plan tailored to your child’s developmental goals.
Who’s Involved:
Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Behavioural Consultants, Physiotherapists, Child Development Facilitators, and a Clinical Coordinator. The Clinical Coordinator oversees the program, ensuring all services are aligned, goals are tracked, and communication between team members and families is smooth and consistent.

How It Works:
Once your child is approved for Specialized Services funding through FSCD, our team will conduct a full assessment and work with you to create a personalized support plan. Parent Collaboration:
We believe parents are key partners. We provide coaching and tools to help you support your child at home and in the community. We can also collaborate with schools and daycare providers to ensure consistency in your child’s support across settings.
BDS services are customized and practical, helping children build the skills they need to function confidently and independently in everyday life.

At Creative Abilities Therapy Services, we partner with Alberta's Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program to make accessing services as smooth and supportive as possible. Once your family is approved for FSCD funding, we work closely with you and your FSCD caseworker to create and deliver an individualized service plan tailored to your child’s needs.
Here’s how the process typically works:
- Approval from FSCD:
Your family connects with FSCD and completes the intake and assessment process. If approved, FSCD will determine the level and type of support your child is eligible for, such as Specialized Services or Behavioural and Developmental Support. - Choosing a Service Provider:
